Youth Pursuits – StepUp!
Students entering grades 6+
Cost: $75/student

Youth Pursuits’ StepUp! program provides opportunity for students to live out their faith through teaching, mentoring, and leadership. Students will be empowered and equipped to assist Salem staff and interns with Youth Pursuits Camps throughout the summer.

The StepUp! program begins with a two-day training where students receive instruction in large and small group teaching as well as leadership development and team building. Once training week is complete, students are expected to assist with at least one (of two) full-day YP camp offering during the summer and/or the Joni & Friends mission trip for students age 14+.

Prior to registering for the StepUp! program, interested students should view the YP camp descriptions on KidCheck (or below) to see which YP camp(s) they wish to assist. All interested students should complete and submit a StepUp! application form upon registering (see KidCheck attachment for application). The cost for the entire StepUp! program (training + assisting weeks) is only $75 – and, as a reward for completing this program StepUp students will be taken to Valleyfair on July 13.

Week 1 – June 13-14, 9:00am-3:00pm: Training for StepUp! students

Week 2 – June 20-24, 8:30-3:00pm: VBS and YP Camp

Week 3 – June 27-July 1, 8:30-3:00pm: You Play and You Pet
