Tae Kwon Do (“The art of kicking and punching” or “the way of foot and fist”) is a traditional Korean martial art that first came to America in the 1950’s. Students learn self-discipline and control, and are taught to embody the five tenets of Tae Kwon Do: courtesy, integrity, perseverance, self-control, and an indomitable spirit. Students will also improve their physical fitness as they hone their kicking and punching techniques. Tae Kwon Do is not a self-defense class, though many of the techniques do translate into real-world scenarios.
This class is for Intermediate students with previous experience or those who took TKD last semester.
