GLOCAL Camp: Global + Local = think global, serve local
Using a day-camp style format, students (entering grades 2-5) will learn about different cultures and various needs around the world, and have repeated opportunity during this week to interact with those needs and serve others in our local community. Topics will include hunger, poverty, the global water crisis, and refugees.
These service learning experiences teach students new skills, increase their global mindset, develop personal character qualities, and expand their knowledge of the world around them.
Camp is from 9:30am-3pm Monday, August 20 - Thursday, August 23. Portions of each camp day will be spent at Salem and out in the community. Campers should bring a bag lunch to camp each day.
GLOCAL Camp is limited to 60 participants. If that limit has been reached and you would like to be placed on the waiting list, please contact Shelli Streeper at sstreeper@salem-covenant.church.
