This Summer we are guiding kids on the ultimate Alaskan adventure where northern lights glow over majestic mountains, racing rivers, and glistening glaciers.

At True North VBS, we will be finding our way in a world gone wild; discovering a rock-solid foundation in Jesus who is our unmovable, unshakeable friend forever! It's our prayer that True North VBS will help EVERYONE trust Jesus in this wild world.

DVBC's True North VBS is for ages 4 to entering 5th grade.  

We offer two separate VBS programs (Preschool and Elementary) that run simultaneously.  There are volunteer opportunities for all ages entering into 6th grade and older.

PRESCHOOL - For kids age 4 through entering kindergarten, we have crews of 4 which rotate through their own age-appropriate stations (Our Sticky Scripture rotation, Wild Bible Adventures, Craft and Play, Glacier Games and Tundra Treats)

Our Preschool crews have their own opening Sing & Play Peak located within our Preschool Rotations.

ELEMENTARY - For kids entering 1st grade through entering 5th grade, we place kids in crews of 5 with mixed ages and genders. Crews rotate through stations, where the station leaders do the teaching/guiding. (Our Sticky Scripture rotation, Wild Bible Adventures, Imagination Station, Glacier Games and Tundra Treats).
 

VOLUNTEERS/NURSERY - For those that are enetering into 6th grade and older; we offer all different kinds of volunteer opportunities. If you would like to volunteer please click HERE and fill out our volunteer application. Every volunteer must be reference checked. Every volunteer that is 18 years of age and older must also be background checked. 

We offer childcare for nursery through 3-year-olds for our adult volunteer's children only. We must have a parent/legal guardian volunteering on campus for VBS, to enroll a child 3-years-old or younger.

PLEASE READ BEFORE REGISTERING

-Our opening and closing is high energy, with bright lights and loud music. If this is something that might be a concern for your child, please let us know in the "Comment" section on the additional registration info form, we will do our best to accommodate your child to make this an enjoyable week for him/her. 

-By registering your child, you give DVBC permission to take and use pictures that may include your child (no names disclosed) for slideshows, distributed in parent emails or on DVBC's website or social media. Please put "YES" in the "Media Release" section on the additional registarion info form, to show you understand and agree. 

-We encourage NO FRIEND REQUESTS so that everyone is "new" and no one feels left out. Kids are really good at making new friends, if we give them the opportunity. While this is our preference, we understand some children may need to be in the same crew or at least same group (that rotate together). Please email our Director at gluginbuhl@dvbcbcaz.org if you have questions/concerns about your child's crew placement. 

-Snacks will be provided each day at VBS. Below are the ingredients for each day. Please provide an alternative snack to your child's crew leader or our nurse (labeled with their name and crew name) should your child not be able to eat the snack provided. We also request that you bring a labeled water bottle each day for your child. Thank you!

Day 1: Vanilla yogurt, Hawaiian punch/skittle drink packet, Honey Wheat Pretzel Twists, 

Day 2: Oreos, strawberries, pull & peel twizzlers

Day 3: vanillla, chocolate, or strawberry cream wafer cookies; teddy grahams, fruit by the foot, mini marshmallows

Day 4: Gummy bears, buggles, sweedish fish, popcorn, goldfish

Day 5: little debbie fudge rounds, pretzel twists, nilla wafers, chocolate chips, cheerios

-Our Glacier Games 20 minute rotation for Elementary, is outside on the lawn. Please send your child with their name labeled water bottle every day. 

Your child may get wet! Please have them dress appropriately. 

-A $5 additional purchase option for the VBS Music CD will be available when paying for registration. 

-Our program ends promptly at noon each day. Please make proper arrangements to have your child/children picked up on time each day.
